Trailblazers is a series of workshops aimed at teachers and educators working in primary and intermediate schools to help them upskill in STEM and Digital Technology. THey are fun, hands on and focused on building confidence for teachers that may not have had any experience with any of this stuff before.
Trail Blazers - Hour Of Code & Intro to Scratch workshop
This hands on fun workshop is designed for educators to gain confidence in teaching the Hour of Code and some basic Scratch.
It is aimed at teachers teaching year 3 - 8 who haven't done any coding before.
What you will learn: how to run an hour of code & the basics of scratch. We will run through an hour of code session with tech experts supporting you. You will also get an overview of what else you can do to follow on from the hour of code with your kids using Scratch.
The goal of the Hour of Code is to learn that computer science is fun and creative, that it's accessible at all ages, for all students, regardless of background. It is a fun practical workshop that all learners can engage in.
