He rā pōuri tēnei - It’s a sad day
After ten years of robots and coding and all the exciting tech you can imagine, we are sad to announce that we are shutting our doors.😭🦄 We have absolutely loved being at the forefront of STEAM education for the last decade and we will miss hanging out with all of you - tamariki, parents and kaiako (teachers) from across Aotearoa.
Read more from our co-founder, Vaughan, here on his blog.
You will still be able to access our resources for teachers for another year - check out our courses here.
We invite you & your class to join us for our final OMGTech! livestreamed workshops in Te Reo Māori and English on Monday 1 July, 11am-12pm. Our awesome facilitators Maikara and Kawana will be sharing how to use the tools in Scratch to create your own amazing sprites.
Looking forward, some of our PLD facilitators will continue to deliver Professional Development Education to continue to help support your school reach your STEAM and digital education goals. Please reach out to them if you need support for your school or Kura:
Geoff Bentley will continue to support schools with PLD in the Waikato through TechLeap, including his Happy Phones & Repair Detectives initiatives
Chris Clay continues his amazing work at Education Unleashed
Thanks for being part of our story over the last 10 years. We know the future is in good hands.
Noho ora mai me te manaakitanga,
The OMGTech! / Wehi nā Hangarau whānau

Wesley Primary School|Te Kura Tuatahi o Wēteri, Tāmaki College, and Te Aho O Te Kura Pounamu (more commonly known as Te Kura) all stood out for their focus on wellbeing and community relationships. Since ākonga need connection and support to learn offsite, this is key to their hybrid programmes' success.
